INDUSTRY LEADING FUEL TANK CAPACITY – 25 LITRES

This generator has a 25-litre fuel tank which is nearly double the industry standard and ensures a very long run time between refills. This means you have more time working or doing other essential jobs rather than worrying about refilling your generator.

DO OPEN FRAME PETROL GENERATORS HAVE LOW EMISSION ENGINES?

Not all do but the requirement since 2021 is to have a low emission certified ‘Euro V’ engine – all Excel Power petrol generators are certified to this low emission standard. You can rest assured that this generator has a low impact on our environment.

IS THE EXCEL POWER XL2500V EASY TO START AND USE?

You bet it is – The easy recoil start (pull start) is very simple and easy to use and is smooth and silky.  On a well-maintained unit it starts first pull every time – it is engineered to run on the new E10 petrol now available so there are no worries there either.

There is one UK 13A socket, one x 110V yellow 32A socket and 1 X 12V DC socket (car charging type) to connect your electrical equipment up to. Also, this unit has as an easy-to-read onboard digital display so you can see information such as, hours run, output voltage and frequency. A great feature is the power light to confirm everything is working as it should and the oil protection system which shuts the generator down (or prevent starting) when the oil level is too low.

The hour’s run meter is important as you will need to know when your generator will need servicing after the scheduled hours run time has been reached. This will keep your generator maintained and running for thousands of hours use.

USING SENSITIVE EQUIPMENT WITH THE ELECTRICAL POWER FROM THE EXCEL POWER XL2500V

The power produced by the Excel Power XL2500V is regulated by an AVR which keeps the 230v output clean and stable making it safe to use with electronic equipment like PC’s, laptops TV’s and more besides.

LOWER NOISE LEVELS

All open framed generators produce noise, but this unit is pretty good at 65dB(A) at 7m. This unit runs at a constant 3000rpm so does not have an ‘ECO Mode’.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT USE MY PETROL GENERATOR FOR LONG PERIODS?

As with all petrol engines, if you are planning to store your generator for a long period its ‘best practice’ to either drain the fuel tank then run the generator until it stops. This will prevent any unused fuel congealing and clogging the carburettor. Or to stop the fuel from going off use a petrol additive. Remember, stale fuel can stop your generator from starting when you need it. The XL2500V can be used with E10 petrol.
